Zinnetango is an Argentine tango group that formed in the spring of 2021 in Belgium. The international quartet based in Brussels consists of Argentinian, Belgian and Estonian top musicians. Their common passion for old tango tradition – that reflects the playful and optimistic flare of the “guardia vieja” and the melancholy of the “guardia nueva” – as well as “tango nuevo” is represented by the music of such tango masters as O. Pugliese, A. Gobbi, H. Salgan, A. Piazzolla, D. Schissi and many others. Representing the new Argentinian and European tango generation, the ensemble brings forward their own vision of modern tango through contemporary arrangements and newly composed pieces. Their music draws inspiration from jazz harmonies and Latin-American rhythms. Amazing dancers will brighten up the band's live performance and make the evening unforgettable. Zinnetango wants to join the audiences by bringing tango to both listeners in concert halls and dancers in tango clubs.

Helge Lien grew up right in the very middle of these two traditions, American and Scandinavian. Building bridges between different cultures and working with contrasts has always been at the heart of his approach. The former is expansive, ornamental and melodic. It impresses with its technical virtuosity; the richness of forms it is capable of evoking; the wide scope of its influences and inspirations; its link to modern life. The latter is introspective, minimal and rhythmic. It excels by means of its hypnotic qualities; the concentration and constraint it is capable of maintaining; the depth of its moods and ambiances; its roots in tradition.

45 ANNYVERSARY CONCERT
”He is one of the great pianists what I ever heard of ..” says great, legendary Ahmad Jamal about Shahin.
Modal at heart, improvisational in soul, academic in spirit, Azeri by roots; a cultural alchemy runs through Shahin Novrasli’s fingertips every time he plays. At around 20 years old, Shahin started touring US and Europe, performing at very famous and prestigous festivals and venues collaborating with a lot of great musicians.
A tempestuous fusion of jazz, classical and mugham, a traditional Azeri folk artform passed down through generations, his style captures the essence of his Land Of Fire homeland. Jazz-mugham; a style where East meets West.
